There were several flooded intersections. After 10 p.m., the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that more than 7,000 customers were without power.

Floods from the previous weekend devastated the northwest.

On Thursday, violent thunderstorms pummelling Las Vegas, flooding neighbourhoods including the casinos along the Vegas Strip.

The National Weather Service said that between 60 and 90 minutes, nearly one inch of rain fell.

One location experienced 71 mph wind gusts.

According to NWS meteorologist Zack Taylor, the flooding was caused by the interaction of the wind and rain.

Following the thunderstorm on Thursday evening, about 7,600 people were left without electricity, according to local media.

According to a Nevada Energy outage map, 150 customers were still affected by the outages by Friday morning, many of which had been resolved.

Again, isolated storms are expected across the region yesterday afternoon and evening.
